Vikings top Mounts


Ephrata traveled to Northern Lebanon Friday night hoping to notch its first victory of the 2015 campaign, but the Vikings wouldn’t hear of it, as they scored early and often to beat the Mounts, 57-26.

The Vikings, led by quarterback Isaac Wengert and Dylan Weaver, built a 43-7 lead.

Ephrata did show some signs of life, eventually scoring 26 points.

Brendan Holbritter played most of the second half for the Mounts at quarterback. He threw for one touchdown and ran for another.

In total, Ephrata threw for 150 yards and ran for 129.

Keys to the game: The game was over once Northern Lebanon built a 43-7 lead in the first half.

Key statistics: There were two. First, Northern Lebanon went the whole game without punting. Second, the Vikings totaled 352 yards of offense.
