Sweigart and Burridge move on

Sweigart (8-5) started the day off defeating Troy Wojcik (GS) 6-1, 6-1. The win moved Sweigart up the bracket to cross-town rival Cocalico's Michael Duong. Duong jumped out taking the first set 6-3, while Sweigart came back to win the second set, which ended in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-3), but Duong responded taking the third set 6-2.
In flight two Burridge (6-7) defeated Warwick's Ian Gebhard 7-6, 6-4 in the first round. In the second round Alex Trimble (Eto) proved too much as he eliminated Burridge 5-7, 6-3, 10-5.
Brett Simmons (7-6) defeated Mike Moran (Don) 6-4, 6-2 in the first round of flight three. Hempfield's Kevin Schulz was waiting in the second round however. Simmons would end up taking Schulz three sets as well, before losing 6-2, 0-6, 5-10.
In flight four Cameron Auker (4-9) defeated Ethan Jones (Leb) 1-6, 6-3, 10-4 before losing to Elco's Fred Shaak in straight sets 0-6, 1-6.
Drew Kramer (5-8) defeated Luke Harcom (PV) in the first round of flight five with a close 7-5, 6-4 score. Lancaster Catholic's Nick Grassgerger returned the favor in the second round dropping Kramer by the same 7-5, 6-4 score.
After winning a preliminary doubles match on Monday in straight sets over Troy Wojcik and Mitch Good (GS), Sweigart and Burridge (7-4) went on to win their first round match over Steven Child and Cole Turula (LCD) both sets reached tie-breaker before the Mounts prevailed. The Mounts won the first set 7-6 (7-4) and the second set 7-6 (7-2)
Auker and Kramer weren't so lucky the first round of the second flight doubles bracket, drawing and losing to Cedar Crest's Steven Kurban and Andre Wentzel in straight sets 4-6, 0-6.
Sweigart and Burridge advance to play CV's Derek Gregg and Kip Zechman who knocked off the 4th seeded Hempfield team of Alan Hummel and Kevin Schulz.
