Eagles Sweep Ephrata


When Ephrata’s Micaela Sensenig threw up a block midway through the first set posting the Mountaineers to a 13-11 lead, you couldn’t blame Cocalico, especially the seniors, for harkening back to previous matches against the Mounts.

If there was a singular takeaway from Saturday afternoon’s Ephrata-Cedar Crest boys’ soccer match, it would be this: Everybody’s gotta start somewhere.

Mounts continue climb


The Ephrata Mounts Golf team continued their climb towards third place in Section 1, following their second straight 4 win - 2 loss match. Nick Hatch lead the way for the fifth place Mounts, who find themselves only two wins behind third place.

Eagles top Mounts


Two teams, the last game of the regular season and both with something on the horizon.
 
For one, Cocalico, the horizon is next week and the opening round of the District Three Class AAA playoffs. For Ephrata, the horizon is more distant. It's next season, one that may take it to a new section.
 
Cocalico rolled up 48 first-half points, putting the mercy rule in effect in the second half, en route to a 48-7 [box score] victory over Ephrata on Friday night in Denver.
