Tennis squad wins two

ImageA pattern has developed over the past three matches. The Lady Mounts take three out of five singles matches, then win a doubles match to finish things off.

Tuesday and Wednesday were no different this week. On Tuesday the Mounts defeated Conestoga Valley 4-3, then followed that last night by turning back Elizabethtown 4-3.

Lily Sears and Megan Royer improved their doubles record to 9-1, as they won both matches in straight sets.

Sears only lost 3 games in singles play over the last two matches, as she moved to 9-1 on the season individually as well. Sears dropped Liz Beck (CV; 6-1, 6-1) and Justine Garber (E-town; 6-0, 6-1). Megan Royer improved to 8-2 on the season winning both of her matches in straight sets.

Amy Sherman (7-3) also scored singles victories on both nights.

The Mounts next host Penn Manor Friday afternoon.
