Four Mounts named first team All-Stars

ImageFour members of Ephrata's Section Two champion baseball team earned first team all-section status as the teams were announced this past week.

 Senior first baseman Chris Hull, sophomore outfielder Steve Tretter and senior pitcher Zac Schnader joined utility man senior Derek Sipe n the Section two first team. Hull batted .364 this season with two home runs and 13 RBI Tretter turned in an outstanding sophomore campaign, hitting .411 with 11 RBI, 17 runs and 12 stolen bases. Sipe concluded a super career for the Purple and Gold, batting .373 with a home run, 14 runs scored and seven steals.

Schnader went 4-1 with 44 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.05.

In addition to the first teamers, catcher Dan Hagey, third baseman Alex Weaver, shortstop Reid Martin and Sipe (pitcher) all earned honorable mention.
