Lady Mounts win 2 of last 3

ImageThe Mounts finished out their season last week, winning two out of their last three games to finish with a 9-14 mark, two games better than last year.  On senior night, Marcy Dull scored 18 of her game-high 22 points before halftime as Ephrata beat Solanco, 48-41.  Brynn Lyons and Aly Goodman put the Lady Mares away with a pair of key three-pointers in the final four minutes of the game.  Arielle Gordon added 5 points and 7 steals for Ephrata.

At Elizabethtown, Ephrata couldn't find enough offense to beat the Bears for the second time this year.  Dull scored 17, but Ephrata got just 32 as E-town prevailed, 44-32.  The Mounts were down by 13 early in the fourth before Goodman, a freshman, made two threes to try to rally Ephrata.  They got it back to 35-29 before the Bears finished the game on a 9-3 run.  This game completed Ephrata's league season at 7 wins and 9 losses.

Finally, Ephrata closed things out with a non-league win at Pequea Valley, 43-30.  In her final game, Dull had 14 points and 13 rebounds.  Christine Weaver added 8 points on 4 of 5 shooting.  Gordon matched her season high with 7 assists.

This completed an exciting season that included seven games decided in the final few seconds, and featured three buzzer-beating baskets.  Dull finished as Ephrata fourth-leading scorer all-time, with 1,109 points. See the players that scored 1000 points here.

The JVs finished strong by winning five of their last six games to finish at 8-13.  Goodman finished as the team's leading scorer, followed closely by Jan Woolley and Audrey Thorp.
