Mounts compete at Gettysburg Invitational

ImageThe Ephrata Mounts girls and boys cross country team recently competed in the Gettysburg Invitational. The girls team faired quite well finishing 9th out of 26 teams. The only team in the Lancaster-Lebanon League that faired better were the Blue Streaks of Manheim Township who finished 7th.

Ephrata placed six girls in the top 100, including Alicia Harbold (35th; 20:00.10), Jaime Singer (56th; 20:31.94), Brynn Lyons (59th; 20:35.60), Amber Davies (70th; 20:45.78), Samantha Fink (74th; 21:01.90) and Dana Haas (100th; 21:36.39).

Finishing just outside of the top 100 was Kate Anderson (118th; 21:54.00) and Taylor Fletcher (153rd; 22:34.93)

The Boys also competed, but didn't fair quite as well as the girls. The boys finished in 27th out of 38 teams.

Leading the way for the Mounts was Junior Brad Sweigart (42nd; 17:47.01). Also placing for the Mounts was Niraj Amin (63rd; 18:04.18), Givi Palagashvili (130th; 18:52.66), James Reddig (216th; 19:57.83), Ryan Trella (237th; 20:16.08) and David King (261st; 20:51.28).
